Call for applications Round 8

The eighth call for applications ran between 3 March 2016 and 7 September 2016 and 166 entries were submitted. We are currently running the ninth call for applications. Entries can be submitted up to and including on15 February 2017 (22:00 CET).

Finalists Round 8

We shortlisted the Round 8 applicants in October 2016. The shortlisted candidates had then a month’s time to submit a full application package: a detailed story proposal, a detailed project budget and signed letters of intent. The winners were announced mid November 2016.

Awards Round 8

The winners of Round 8 were announced mid November 2016. The winning journalists started their projects in December 2016 after they have attended the boot camp training and signed the grant agreements.

Bootcamp Round 8

The winners of Round 8 took part in a two-day boot camp style training. The event, held in December 2016 in Amsterdam, focused on impact, dissemination and publication strategies on how to achieve real world public impacts.

Call for applications Round 9

We are currently running the ninth call for applications. Pitch us original editorial approaches, stories with investigative and genuinely journalistic techniques and a focus on Gender Equality. The deadline closes on 15 February 2017 (22:00 CET). Read carefully the application criteria before applying!
